20th Birthday Vlog & 5 Year Anniversary

Hey guys ! Check out this short video blog from my 20th Birthday Party. I didn't do anything big, but I like it that way. I like that I don't feel the need to have a big party to have a good time. What really matters is that my closest friends were there, and that's more important than any party to me. Check out the video above with some shout outs from my friends, and some a capella performances from Natalie Bermudez and Dylan Bernard!

In addition to that...

...I'm proud to say that Jay Swag Entertainment News has been up and running for five years now. It's hard to believe that I started this that long ago, but I love it. I love watching it grow, and seeing all your comments. I love interviewing and being lucky enough to do something that I really enjoy.

I've learned a lot about this industry in these short five years, but there's so much more to learn and I'm ready to keep growing. I'm excited to see what's next. Whatever it is, I know that I will be ready for it thanks to my family, friends, and supporters. Thank you for the five years of support. Let's keep moving forward!

Ariana Grande - Right There ft Big Sean (Music Video)

Ariana Grande has released the music video to her smash hit Right There featuring Big Sean. I'm literally obsessed with every thing that Ariana does and this is no different. The song is great and the video just makes it even better.

Ariana is certainly in a league of her own and I'm very interested in following her career. I'd be surprised if she didn't reach legend status one day. What do you think of the Right There music video?

Chris Brown Check Into Rehab

Hopefully this is for the best. After years of tons of ups and downs Chris Brown has decided to enter rehab. Chris has been struggling,  ever since the incident with Rihanna, to redeem himself in the public eye and deal with his anger issues.

His rep released the following statement; "Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility. His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."

I really hope that Chris can pull himself together. He's an extremely talented artist, and I hope that after this, the public will be able to give him another chance.

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West Engaged

Rapper Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian on her 33rd birthday. The two welcomed their first child, North West, into the world just a few months ago, and now it seems that they are ready to tie the knot.

Kanye proposed at AT&T park, which was rented out for Kim's birthday. It seems that Kim couldn't contain her excitement and took to Instagram to show of her 15 carat diamond ring.

Kris Jenner has given her blessing to Kanye, and Khloe also took to Twitter to share her excitement by tweeting; "Wow!!!!! Am I dreaming??!?!"

Congratulations Kimye! Wishing them both all the best.

New Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has been off the radar for a little bit now, and with no studio album currently in the works it seems like she was going to be gone for even longer. The singer, however, does have a new song that may just bring her back to the spotlight.

Taylor debuted her newest song Sweeter Than Fiction at midnight last night. The upbeat song will be featured in the film "One Chance." I'm not really into the song, but if you're a fan of Taylor Swift I'm sure you will be satisfied. Let me know what you think in the comments below!

Justin Bieber - All That Matters

Justin Bieber recently released his latest single All That Matters and I actually really like it. I love the melody and feel to the song. It's different from his usual music, and I think this sound works better for him now. It'll be interesting to see how Justin continues to grow as an artist.

What do you think of All That Matters? Do you like this style, or are you a fan of his earlier music?

Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner Separate

After 22 years of marriage, Kris Jenner and Bruce Jenner are separating. The pair tells E News! exclusively that they are living separate but "happier than ever."

They go on to say; "But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

There had been rumors here and there about the couple splitting up, but nothing had been confirmed. Hopefully they can really remain friends for Kendall and Kylie.

Yesterday, Dylan and I attended an Anti-Bully Concert hosted by We're Kickin' It! The event took place at the Middletown Arts Center in NJ and it was such an honor to attend. Performers included Trevin Hunte, Beverly McClellan, Raquel Castro,  Jared Blake, Dylan Bernard, and more!

Miley Cyrus Sings "Wrecking Ball" On SNL

Miley Cyrus appeared on Saturday Night Live this weekend, and performed her latest hit single Wrecking Ball. I must admit, this song is really growing on me, and Miley actually sounded pretty good live. Say what you will, but she's doing a great job of remaining relevant in the media.

In addition to performing Wrecking Ball, Miley also sang We Can't Stop and took part in a few skits. If you watched, what were your thoughts on Miley's SNL appearance?

Khaya Cohen Is The One To Watch

I haven't really said much about this season of The X Factor but, after watching a few auditions, I have a favorite contestant and her name is Khaya Cohen. The soulful songstress is only fifteen years old, but sings as a seasoned professional. Whether or not Khaya wins this competition, she will definitely go very far in the industry. I'm looking forward to watching more of her performances in the weeks to come. Who are your favorites?

Guy Harrison Interview

Check out my interview with rapper Guy Harrison. Also, check out his latest music video Sunny Mood featured above. Follow Guy on Twitter @Guy_Harrison. For more information on Guy visit www.guyharrisonmusic.com

Thank you for taking the time to speak with me today. First, can you please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about yourself?
“My full name is Guy Harrison Campbell, but I rap as just Guy Harrison. I'm a 20 year old student/MC studying digital advertising and marketing at Syracuse University.”

When did you first become interested in music? When did you see it as a potential career?
“I've always loved music. Even as a young kid I would hum melodies to myself, and my mom always had me in the choir at church.  In 8th grade my history teacher asked us what we wanted to do for a living and I said I wanted to be the next Kanye West.  But I didn't take rap seriously until I was about 17 when I got the chance to record my first mixtape with my homie TyCo (Tyler Costantino) in Florida.”

Although you're a newcomer to the game, you've opened up for acts like Big Sean and Mac Miller! Tell us a little bit about those experiences.
“Opening for Mac Miller in 2011 was a really eye opening experience.  It was the first time I had done a soundcheck, or dealt with promoters.   I was 18 then, and since then I've done dozens of shows.   But that show was much needed experience leading up to shows I did with Asher Roth, Fabolous, Cassidy, OCD: Moosh & Twist, Aer, and some other guys.”

I've listened to a lot of your music and you definitely have a great sound. How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard your music before?
“Appreciate that man..I don't like to confine myself to a certain sound really, but I'd say I'm like a mix between Common, J.Cole, Drake, and Kid Cudi.  I rap about real situations that I go through, but I also like to have fun with my music as much as I can.  So I'll throw some melodies into my verses or even sing the hook.  I just try to learn from the best and make it my own.”

What's one thing you would like to accomplish throughout your career?
“My main goal is to win a grammy. I think that is every artist's goal in the industry.”

If you could work with any artist in the industry right now, who would you choose and why?
“I would want to work with J.Cole or Kendrick Lamar because in my eyes, those two are the most insightful MC's in the game.  I'd want one of them to take me under their wing and really show me how its done.”

What's an interesting fact about yourself, that many people may not know?
“I was class president my last two years in High school, and I quoted Biggie during my graduation speech.”

That was the last question. Again, I want to thank you for taking the time to do the interview. Do you have any last thoughts or comments for your fans?
“I just want to thank you for the interview, John. Shouts to all my fans out there, I promise I got more music on deck for the fall.”
