New Music: Ariana Grande ft. Mac Miller - The Way

Ariana Grande has released her latest single, The Way, which features rapper Mac Miller! I am totally in love with this song, and with Ariana's voice,

The song is fun and up beat, but still shows off Ariana's vocal ability. I've always believed that Ariana is one of the most underrated vocalists, and I hope that more people will begin to give her the respect that she deserves as an artist. I mean come on; She's practically this generation's Mariah Carey!

Be sure to support Ariana Grande and buy her single The Way on iTunes!

New Music: Jessica Sanchez ft. Ne-Yo - "Tonight"

Jessica Sanchez recently debuted her new single on ryanseacrest.com. The song titled, Tonight, featured R&B star Ne-Yo, and is said to give the listeners a preview of what Jess' album will sound like. The song is up beat and fun, and I can definitely see this becoming a party hit in no time.

Justin Timberlake - Mirrors Music Video

Justin Timberlake is really making a comeback. First, Suit and Tie hit the airwaves and became a fan favorite, now, his music video for Mirrors, is impacting fans in the same way!

The video tells his grandparent's love story  and how despite their fighting, they made up because of the love they had for one-another.

Honestly, I think the song is great and I love the video too. This could be a huge year for Justin Timberlake if he continues on the path he is currently on. What do you think of Mirrors

Pitbull - Feel This Moment Music Video

Okay, so I'll be the first one to admit that I'm not a Pitbull fan, but I will admit that his career has been going extremely well lately! Almost all of his songs are hits, and he collaborates with tons of the world's top artists.

His most recent collaboration is with the amazing Christina Aguilera. The song, Feel This Moment, is a fun, lively song, and the video definitely portrays that! Shot in all black and white, except for Pitbull's tie, Pitbull is seen traveling the world and performing live on stage. Overall, the video is decent, and I really like how it is shot in black and white. What do you think?

Camryn Interview

Hey guys! I just had the chance to interview the incredibly talented singer, Camryn! She's currently on Tour with One Direction, but what you may not know, is that she's been doing the "tour thing" for quite a while now! Check out our interview below.

Hi Camryn! Thank you so much for speaking with me today. First, can you please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about yourself?
"Hey John, no problem! And to everyone reading this, my name is Camryn and I'm originally from Denver, CO but currently I am touring across Europe as the support act for One Direction on their Take Me Home Tour. My new single 'Now or Never' was debuted when I toured with One Direction last year on their Up All Night Tour, and is now available on iTunes!"

When did you start to get into music? Who were your biggest influences?
"Honestly I've been singing ever since I could talk. When i entered my first talent show it just clicked and I knew that this was what I wanted to do. I was still a bit young then, so I've taken the years in between to better myself and ready myself for what life on the road may have in store."

You toured with One Direction when you were only 12-years-old. Tell us a little bit about that. What was your reaction when you found out that they wanted you to join them again for this tour?
"It was terrifying. I notice most of the fans are usually anywhere from 15-23, so it's scary to think you're performing for people way older than you and who can be more judging when it comes to things. They are there to see their favorite boy band, and you're a girl on that boy bands tour. They automatically hate you. But I just like to go out and have fun and that's what matters and hopefully it will win the crowd over! And when I found out I was touring again I had the same disbelief as before. Totally screamed and had a fangirl moment. But it's awesome. And I'm glad they liked me enough to have me back along for the ride."

In addition to touring with 1D, you've also toured with Cody Simpson and Olly Murs! You've been on the road quite a lot for being so young. What's your favorite part of touring? Your least favorite?
"I honestly have very few things I dislike about touring. The only thing would be those rare moments when you have to wake up at 3 or 5am to be on a morning show across town at 6am. But I love the traveling, meeting new fans and friends, and singing so much that things like that don't really bother me."

What's that one thing that you need to have with you on your, at all times?
"Definitely my phone. I'm an instagram addict so I'm always snapping pictures."

What can your fans expect from you in 2013?
"There is a lot of new music coming your way and very soon. So if you catch me on the road in Europe you'll get to hear some of it before anyone else. And when I say a lot of new music.. i mean A LOT!"

What's an interesting fact about you that many people may not know?
"I am terrified of airplanes! Flying back from Asia our airplane was struck by lightning and the power went out on board and we dropped a bit in air. I was so scared I was screaming! Long distance flights and pretty much any turbulence just haven't been the same since."

If you could do anything outside of music, what would you pick, and why?
"This is always a tough one because I can't see myself not singing. But if I did have to choose something right now I'm going with lawyer."

@SarahFeltes1 would like to know if you ever see yourself headlining your very own arena tour?
"That would be my dream to headline my own tour AND to sell out Madison Square Garden in NYC one day. Working hard to make it happen!"

@pink_angell wants to know, who was the first person to realize that you had a talent for singing?
"Definitely my mom. She always had me calling relatives to sing for them and always had me perform during the holidays."

@1DirectionDivas asks, "Would you ever come back to Glasgow?"
"I would love to. Scotland is so beautiful. Would love to play my own show at the SECC Arena one day!"

@IWantANarryHug wants to know, who would you want to meet the most?
"Definitely Beyonce. She is a huge inspiration to me and I would love to meet her and thank her for everything she has done, and how much it has helped me along the way."

That was the last question! I want to thank you again for taking the time to do the interview. Do you have any last thoughts or comments for your fans?
"No problem John! I would want fans to know everywhere that I love tweeting. So if they ever have a question they can always send it to me and I do my best to reply to everyone! www.twitter.com/CamrynRocks"

Candice Glover "I Who Have Nothing"

I have no words...

Candice is simply amazing. Check out her performance of "I Who Have Nothing," from last night's episode of American Idol. If she doesn't win, there is something seriously wrong with this show!

The show has cheated out Pia Toscano, and Jessica Sanchez. Please do not let Candice be the next victim to be cheated of a title they deserve. Vote, vote, vote!

American Idol runner-up, Jessica Sanchez, has just released the artwork for her brand new album! She released the album cover via email a few moments ago, and it has already been taking over my Twitter timeline! Jessica's debut album will be titled Me, You & the Music.

It's no surprise that I have supported Jessica Sanchez for a very long time! I remember blogging about her the very first week that I started my website. It's amazing how far she has come and I couldn't be more proud of her. I don't buy many albums, but I can guarantee you that I personally be purchasing Jessica's album as soon as it is released. Day 08/09 - A Moment You Felt Most Satisfied With Your Life

So today's challenge is supposed to be the meaning behind my tattoos, but since I don't have tattoos, and skipped yesterday, I'll just post yesterday's challenge!

This is one of the harder ones for me. I have to write about a moment when I felt most satisfied with my life. I've been very blessed and there really are so many moments when I thought to myself, "Wow, what did I do to deserve all of these blessings."

Even though I've accomplished so much, the one thing that really stood out in my mind was my experience at the 2010 Warped Tour. That's when everything started to take off I think. I remember when I got my invite to Warped Tour, I immediately called my friend and told her that we were going. We couldn't believe it. We were literally freaking out. We went to the venue, and I was a complete newbie! I didn't know where to go, or what to do, but I think that's what I needed. I wasn't taught the "correct way" to do something...I was literally thrown into something at the age of 16.

I remember my first interview was with Sum 41. They were one of the biggest bands on the tour, and they just also happened to be my first in-person interview. I walked into the room and I'm pretty sure I was shaking. They could tell I was new at this. I even asked someone who wasn't in the band to introduce himself. I definitely made my fair share of mistakes, but at the end of the interview they told me that even though they knew I was new at this, they thought I did a great job. It was really reassuring to hear that.

My next interview as with A Rocket to the Moon. I interviewed them, and afterwards they said to me; "Thanks for the interview. This was probably one of the best ones we did today." That really changed me. It helped me believe in myself. Everyone in the world can believe in you, but if you don't believe in yourself, you're going to have a hard time getting to where you want to be. After that, I was so happy. I completed all my interviews, and felt like I was on top of the world. I talked to the head of PR for the tour in the press room and thanked her for the opportunity. She asked me how it went and I told her that I was nervous. Before, I could finish my story she said, "That's not what I asked. I know this is your first time doing press, but I was impressed with your website. I knew you could do this. That's why you're here." I just smiled, and thanked her once again.

The next day, my friend and I went walking around our town, and just talked about our experience. I remember us just thinking about the future and what was coming next. That's when I realized I loved what I was doing. That's when I learned to believe in myself. Everything that I have accomplished stems from this moment, because if I didn't believe in myself, I wouldn't be able to do everything that I do. I want to thank the Warped Tour for welcoming to the press team in 2010. They really changed my life.

K. Black Interview

I recently had the chance to interview the very talented K. Black! Not only is he an extremely talented producer who has worked with the likes of Marvin Sapp, but he has even toured with Faith Evans as her drummer! Now, K.Black is getting ready to launch his solo project, and he was kind enough to give me an interview. Check it out below!

Hello! Thank you for speaking with me today. First, can you please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about yourself?
"Hello, my name is K Black The Music Machine. I'm a producer/writer/singer/musician and music is the theme and highlight of my life."

You began learning about music when you were only 3-years-old. What exactly drew you towards music? What instruments did you teach yourself to play? How hard was it to teach yourself?
"Well I started off playing the drums at 3. I was a self taught drummer. It was a gift from God and as I got older I started learning to play the keys in my father's church. Music has always been a part of my life for as long as I remember. My music is a gift from God. This is all I know and the drive of my life. That's why I call myself The Music Machine. Teaching my self wasn't hard. It came natural to me. All I had to do was apply myself and everything else followed."

You've worked with some of today's tops artists. Tell us a few people you've worked with. What was that experience like? Do you have a favorite piece you worked on?
"Well I placed my first major record back in 2000 with Bad Boys Recording artist (G Dept), and then had records with another Bad Boy artist (Shyne). I also had a record with an artist signed to Motown at that time named Trav, and the record featured Lil Wayne. I've also worked with Jaheem and tons of other artists. All of those projects were great experiences to be a part of. I can't really say what was my favorite, but I will say I enjoyed them all."

You went on tour with Faith Evans as her drummer. That's incredible! How did you get that gig? Were you nervous at all?
"Yes I did! We went over seas to the UK and visited London, Manchester, England, etc. I got the gig from being connected to my friend/brother(Donovan Jackson). He and faith are very close so playing in the band Donovan and my good friend/brother (Jeff Motley), they put me on the gig right away and the rest was history. I wasn't nervous. I was so ready and I waited for that opportunity for some years, so when it came I just knocked it out."

What was it like when you first heard your music being played on the radio? How did you feel?
"It was an amazing feeling. I went bonkas! I felt like I was on my way to the road of success."

Tell us a little bit about your new project.  What can we expect from your original music?
"Well my music is pure heart driven emotions and energy put into melodic form. I call it music for the soul. It will touch you where ever you are. It will be whatever you need it to be. It's uplifting and creative."

What is one thing you've accomplished that you can say you are extremely proud of?
"One thing I've accomplished that I'm proud of is having a son who is just like me, and who is following in my foot steps. He keeps me on my grind because he's so talented that it's scary. It's like looking in the mirror and seeing my younger self. It's amazing."

What will separate your music from everything else out there right now?
"What separates my music from everything else is like I said; it's pure heart driven emotions and energy. It's not watered down or controlled by any A/R or anything putting a cap on it. It's free and uplifting and there's nothing out there like it. The music speaks for itself when you hear it."

What's an interesting fact about you that many people may not know?
"That's a tricky question to answer but I will say that when it comes to K Black The Music Machine, what you see is what you get; a humble and genuine person."

That was the last question! I want to thank you again for speaking with me. Do you have any last thoughts or comments?
"Thank you Jay Swag for the interview. I look forward to the future! It was a pleasure speaking with you. Shout out to the whole entire Delray family."

Bieber Drops the "F Bomb"

I'm literally cracking up at this video! It won't let me embed it, but I found it on TMZ and I just had to blog it. Apparently, while Justin Bieber was in London he got into a little argument  that almost got physical, with the paparazzi.

Day 07 - Why Did You Start Blogging

Why did I start blogging? Hmm...that's a good question. I started blogging back in 2008 because I always had a passion for writing. I remember having my poetry published starting in the 6th grade. I always dreamed of having a book published someday. I actually remember sitting in the kids room at a local bowling alley, writing up short stories and drawing pictures for them.

I wasn't your average kid. When I had a desktop computer, there were tons of "books" that I was writing on there. They were quite lengthy, being that I was only ten-years-old. I had one story that was on it's 30th typed page, one that was on it's 20th, and one that was on it's 12th. I loved writing.

I also loved the celebrity world. I dreamed of not only being a celebrity, but interviewing them, and sharing their stories. I remember myself, along with two of my closest friends, started making "The J Mag;" a hand written, hand drawn, magazine that we attempted to sell on my front yard. This was really my first encounter with journalistic writing. We had a section for music, celebrities, games, and movies. I still have copies of them actually! Maybe one day I'll show you guys haha!

Then, when I became a freshmen in high school I became close friends with a girl by the name of Savannah Britt. After getting to know each other, I found out that this girl that just happened to go to my high school, was also the world's youngest magazine publisher (at the time). I told her about my passion for writing and what I wanted to do, and she helped me start a little blog called Jay Swag Entertainment News. You know how it goes, the rest is really history.

It's crazy to think of how far I've come, but I couldn't be more grateful. I never expected that I would be interviewing celebrities on a daily basis, and getting invited to various events. I never thought that I would become friends with these celebrities, and travel to places like Canada, to meet the cast of one of my favorite TV shows. I never thought that I would be watching TV saying "Yep, that's my friend auditioning for American Idol right now!" It's funny how all of this has happened to me at such a young age, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Thank you guys for all of the support! I hope one day to share my whole story with you, and hopefully inspire at least on person to follow their dreams.

Candice Glover Performs "Ordinary People"

Candice Glover is simply amazing! I look forward to hearing her sing every week, and she never disappoints. Last night, the talented singer took on John Legend's Ordinary People

The runs that she implements, and the notes that she chooses are incredible! I love her tone and vibrato too. Everything about this girl screams "Idol," and right now, for me, she is the one to beat!

Day 05 - Letter To Your Best Friend

So, you're probably embarrassed that I chose this picture...and I bet you're about to text me and be like "really...that picture?" haha. My response is this; yes, this picture. I picked this picture because this was before all of "it." This was before Jay Swag became what it is today. This was before all the followers, fans, readers, comments, interviews, photo shoots, covers, trips to NYC, meeting celebrities, and even before you were technically my "artist." I picked this picture because that's what is most important to me. We were best friends first. I think that sometimes we get so caught up in this industry that we really forget how long we've known each other, and how much we've been through. I just want to thank you for always being there for me. There's a post that you left on my Facebook a few years ago that reads "Truth is, you've helped me with everything I could ever hope of doing and more, and you'll always be known to me as the brother I never had." I hope you know that I feel the same.  We may not be blood, but you have definitely become family to me. Thanks for being the best friend I could've ever asked for.  Lets continue to make 2013 our year!

New Music from Ciara

Ciara has just released a new song titled Body Party. I don't really know what happened to Ciara. She kind of just disappeared out of nowhere, and has been trying to remain relevant ever since then.

She's trying her best but here's the problem; I remember blogging about her a month or two ago...but I don't remember what I blogged. She's releasing things that aren't interesting, or have no longevity to them. Anyway, "Body Party" is catchy, but I still don't think it's what Ciara needs for a full blown comeback. Check it out below and let me know what you think.

Eben Franckewitz Releases "TXT"

Eben Franckewitz has released his single "TXT!" I listened to the song earlier today and it has a really cool sound to it! It's different from what I was expecting, and I think that's what I really like about it. If you haven't heard it yet, you should definitely go to iTunes and download yourself a copy. I can't wait to see what Eben has planned next.  Congratulations on releasing your single Eben!

Never Jaded: March Blog Challenge; Faith, or Religion.

While I'm constantly reading blogs, there aren't many that I actually check out daily. One blog that I love is Never Jaded! I've been a fan of her blog since she first started, and she's become one of my blogging friends (haha yes, those do exist)! Anyway, she has recently started a blog challenge and I am going to attempt to take part in it! I know I'm starting late, but I'll do my best to complete the rest of the challenge. Today's challenge is; Faith, or Religion.

Well, I went to a catholic school starting at Pre-K, and continued going to a catholic school until the day I graduated from high school! I was baptized in a Methodist church when I was a baby, and then converted to Catholicism when I was about 12-years-old. I wasn't a frequent church goer, but I did partake in the sacraments. I would say I went to church probably once a month during school because they made us. I did this throughout high school.

Even though I was a Catholic, I didn't really identify myself with the faith. In the summer, Dylan introduced me to a Christian Community Church in my neighborhood, and I began attending with him. I still attend from time to time, but my thoughts on religion are still the same.

I believe it is important to have a relationship with God, regardless of what you believe in. Why can't my God be the same as your God? What if the one God that we all believe in, just takes different forms to get His point across to different groups of people? I have a relationship with God, and I know that He is always listening, but my personal belief is that faith is more important than religion. Faith is something that we feel. When religion fails, faith is still present because it is our faith in God that really creates our relationship with Him; not our understanding of structured religion.

I guess, it boils down to this; I do not strive to be a good "Christian," I strive to be a good person!
