Jersey Shore Comes To A Close

They say all good things must come to an end...but I guess all bad ones have to end too. MTV has recently announced that it's hit reality shore Jersey Shore will not be renewed for a seventh season. That's right! The show that changed the way we viewed reality TV is finally coming to a close.

The cast members are reportedly making close to $2 million per episode for this season, however the ratings have been dropping. I thought the show should've ended two season ago. I'm interested in seeing where the cast members will go with their careers after the show. I mean, let's be honest, aside from Snooki, do any of them really know how to have a real job?

If you are a fan of the show, the sixth and final season will air on October 4th, so be sure to watch!

Snooki Gives Birth to Baby Boy

Congratulations Snooki! The reality star turned business woman gave birth to a 6-pound, 5-ounce baby boy named Lorenzo on Sunday! Snooki and her fiance Jionni LaValle welcomed their new baby boy into the world close to 3am Sunday morning.

MTV as well as the rest of the Jersey Shore cast have been congratulating Snooki through Twitter. Vinny tweeted, "I'm finally an uncle! Congrats @Snooki and @JLaValle! Can't wait to meet #BabyLorenzeo" Most of the other members also weighed in and sent their love to both Snooki and Jionni. Once again, congratulations! Wishing you all the best with your new life.

Love Me Now - Melanie Amaro

X Factor winner Melanie Amaro has released a new single! Check out Love Me Now. I am in love with her voice on this song. I've been a fan of hers since she first auditioned and sang Listen by Beyonce. When her first single, Respect, came out, I was a little disappointed, but between this and her last song I'm starting to remember why I loved her so much! She's definitely on my must interview list!

Kendall and Libby Glazer Interview

Jay Swag's very own Malibu Mara recently got the chance to interview two young jewelry designers who are breaking onto the scene in a very big way! They're pieces can be seen on celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Jordin Sparks, Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, and many more! Check out our interview with Kendall and Libby Glazer of Stoney Clover Lane and be sure to check out their site. I can guarantee you that you won't exit off the page without buying something. www.stoneycloverlane.com

First off, introduce yourself and your dream collection, Stoney Clover Lane. Where did that name come from?
“We are two sisters Kendall and Libby who started the company Stoney Clover Lane three years ago. The name Stoney Clover Lane came from the street we grew up on, we thought it was a cute name and worked for the company.”

Your bracelets are so chic! Do you have a favorite?
“Thank you! We really love all of our bracelets but right now our favorites are our new collection of lucky charms. These are fabric bracelet with plastic neon, and glitter charms. You make a wish when you tie them on and when the bracelet starts to wear your wish comes true. We have the charms in so many different designs and they are so fun we love stacking on a lot at a time. Right now I'm wearing 7 of them!”

Lots of celebrities have been buzzing about your collection, are you surprised by the success?
“We were definitely surprised at how fast it happened. Taylor Swift wore our bracelets even before we began to sell them so it kind of just sparked the interest in the bracelets and had people looking to buy them. When she first wore them we were just making them for ourselves and our friends! Now we have almost every celebrity we could dream of wearing our bracelets which has been absolutely amazing! We still freak out and get excited when someone new is spotted with them!”

If you could create a collaborative piece with any designer, who would it be?
“My absolute favorite celebrities in the world are Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and I love their brands The Row, and Elizabeth and James so my dream would be to do something with them.”

You are both pretty young, do you have advice for other young people who are out there who want to follow their dreams?
“The best advice I could give is basically just do what you love and if you are passionate about something and really care it shows and people will start to want to know about what you are doing just because you are excited about it. We always say we will never design something we wouldn’t wear and I think because of that we are always excited about what we are doing and trying to get other people excited about it as well!”

How hard is it to run a business and still try to be a "typical" teen?
“We have figured out the best way to balance both our normal life and Stoney Clover so now its very easy for us to run SCL and just be like everyone else. We basically just take a little time every week to work on Stoney Clover during the year while were in school to make sure we are answering e-mails, making orders, updating our Facebook etc... and keeping on top of everything and then in the summer when we are out of school and have more time we are able to devote more of ourselves to Stoney Clover so we have a good balance. Our friends are also amazing at understanding everything we are doing and are always willing to help with whatever we need, especially around holiday time, which is when we get crazy with orders.”

Tell us a little bit about the dream foundation and your work with the organization.
“We first learned about Dream Foundation right before we started SCL when I was looking through an online auction Kim Kardashain was doing, I saw the proceeds were donated to DF so I wanted to check it out. I found out that it was a charity that grants final dreams to people over 18 that are terminally ill. There was a section of the website you could look and see all the different dreams that could be adopted and right then I knew I wanted to do at least be able to adopt one dream. When we decided to sell our bracelets i knew we needed to do something to work with Dream Foundation and we decided to give 25% of all the proceeds to them. We started out with one dream and now three years later we have helped make more then 30 dreams come true.”

Thanks for taking the time to do this interview, is there anything special you want our readers to know?
“Of course! You can check out our website www.stoneycloverlane.com for all of our products! We are always updating it so check back often! Make sure to like us on facbeook.com/stoneycloverlane and follow us on twitter and instagram @stoneyclover!! Thanks for talking to us!!”

One Direction Covers Wonderwall

Check out One Direction covering Oasis' hit song Wonderwall. I actually like One Direction's vocals on the cover. Vocally speaking, they're probably the teen group out there right now. I like the harmonies they added to the song, and I think it's cool that they did a cover. I love when artists cover other singer's songs. They should do more in my opinion!

Rita Ora Covers "What Makes You Beautiful"

Rita Ora recently stopped by the Radio 1 Live Lounge and performed a cover of What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction! I really love her voice and I think she did a great job with this cover. I like the twist she put on the song. I'm starting to become a huge Rita Ora fan! Her tone is so unique. I definitely would love to interview her soon. Let me know what you think.

Happy Birthday Whitney Houston

Today is the day on which vocal legend Whitney Houston would've turned 49. It's still shocking to me that we've lost one of the greatest singers in the world. I wanted to share one of my favorite performances by Whitney. It's a rehearsal video of her singing This Day. I hope you enjoy the video, and lets remember to keep the Houston family in our prayers, as it is Whitney's first birthday since her passing.

Enough Said - Aaliyah feat. Drake

I have a new favorite song! It's called Enough Said and it's technically by Aaliyah and features Drake.

The song is an unreleased Aaliyah song which Drake was given permission to work with. He added a rap verse and released a great tribute to the late songstress. Listening to the song for the first time made me want to listen to all of Aaliyah's music. It just proves that although she's no longer with us, her legacy will live on.

There has been mixed feelings on the song, but I'm going to ignore the negative comments. Overall, I think it's a great song and it really does bring Aaliayh's music back to life. I definitely recommend giving it a listen and letting me know what you think!

YouTube Artist of the Month - YE Dior

It's not often that I feature rappers as my YouTube Artist of the Month, just because it's rare for me to find a rapper deserving of the title. That's why this month I'm very excited to share with you a young talented rapper who goes by the name of YE Dior!

I first came across his music when a friend of mine sent me his link. He has performed at Christian Beadles' Meet and Greet Tour, and already has amassed a very large following. After listening to his music it is very easy to see why that is. Not only are his lyrics great, but his flow and timing are also extremely impressive. It's hard to believe that he is only 15 years old, but YE Dior is a perfect example of my favorite motto "Age is not a barrier to success."

Be sure to check out all of his music on his YouTube page www.youtube.com/TheRRichieRich and follow him on Twitter @RRichieRich. Interview coming soon!

Triumphant (Get 'Em) - Mariah Carey ft Rick Ross & Meek Mill

Mariah Carey recently released her latest single Triumphant (Get 'Em) featuring Rick Ross and Meek Mill. Give it a listen for yourself, but personally I'm not a fan of the song. It's hard for me to say that because I'm such a big fan of Mariah Carey! I think she's one of the greatest singers of all time, but this song just doesn't do it for me. It's too out of her element in my opinion. Let me know what you think of the song. Maybe you'll love it!

As Long As You Love Me - Justin Bieber ft. Big Sean (Music Video)

Justin Bieber just released the official music video for his hit single As Long As You Love Me ft. Big Sean. This is probably my favorite song on his album so I'm glad to see that the music video came out so quickly. I think the video is pretty cool and they did a good job with it. Justin Bieber's music has definitely grown on me, and with his new album I actually think he has something good. Let me know what you think of the video!
