Lil Wayne Pulls Nicki From Concert

No one messes with Nicki! The superstar rapper was set to perform at New York's Hot 97 Summer Jam concert last night, but after the one of the DJ's hosting the event dissed her, Lil Wayne immediately pulled Nicki from the event. Here's exactly what went down.

Apparantly, DJ Peter Rosenberg took the stage to introduce an opening act and said, "I know there are some chicks in here waiting to sing along with 'Starships' later...I'm not talking to y'all now f**k that bulls**t." The minute that Lil Wayne heard this he made a few calls and got Nicki out of the show. Nicki tweeted; "U n****z just f****d up history. But the president has spoken #YMCMB..Had a hell of a lineup. But we won't be disrespected."

Twitter was then tossed into chaos. My whole timeline was talking about the incident. Some were saying that they were happy that DJ Peter Rosenberg was being honest. They declared him the "savior of hip-hop." Other's were saying that he is just a DJ and his personal opinion should not have been revealed, especially considering it didn't effect him, but the fans that paid to see Nicki. Personally, I believe he should've kept his mouth shut. As a host of an event it is important to remain professional and treat all of your guests with respect. He gave a bad name to the radio station and just disappointed all of their listeners. What are your thoughts on the incident?

That was just disrespectful for him to do that knowing she was abouta perform. I don't even bump starships like that but damn...that just hurt the station

the whole thing is just stupid. why cant people say shit to each other in private...not in public infront of everyone. If you have a problem with someone go tell it to them. not to all of their fans. and Nicki shouldnt have tweeted all of that stuff either. It just made it worse. She was just trying to get more publicity from it.

Hot 97 owe alot of fans refunds. Interesting article in Slate about how professional Nicki was during the event as well as in a live radio chat afterwards. http://www.slate.com/blogs/xx_factor/2012/06/06/nicki_minaj_and_hot_97_what_the_feud_says_about_women_in_hip_hop.html
