Drake Denies 'Marvin's Room' Lawsuit

I didn't even report the initial story so I'll catch you guys up really quick. Yesterday, a woman by the name of Ericka Lee is saying that she had a business partnership with Drake that eventually turned romantic. She goes onto say that she helped pen the hit "Marvin's Room" and that it is actually her voice that can be heard on the song. According to her, the two agreed to dived all the profits of the song, but after it became a hit, Drake told her to take $50,000 and to disappear. Now, she is filing a lawsuit in California in an attempt to get the money she says she is owed.

Today, Drake's reps have released a statement denying all of these allegations. The release read: "This claim is entirely without merit and our client has not engaged in any wrongful conduct. Ericka Lee consented to the use of her voice in the song "Marvin's Room" prior to its release. Lee asked only for the credit she received as "Syren Lyric Muse," and she did not ask for any compensation. It was only after she retained a lawyer that there was a demand for payment. Drake tried for months to resolve the matter amicably, and now he looks forward to being vindicated in court."

Sources released to LA Times that Ericka Lee and Drake never dated. It should be interesting to see what happens. Do you think Drake owes Ericka any money?

she probably thought that the song wouldn't be as huge as it is and so she said that she didn't want any money but now that it is so huge she is saying that she wants the money.
