Lady Gaga Performs for Jamey

Lady Gaga performed her song "Hair" in honor of Jamey Rodemeyer, at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. If you haven't heard, Jamey Rodemeyer was a 14-year-old boy who committed suicide after being bullied about his sexuality. His last tweet was to Lady Gaga and it read, "By Mother Monster, thank you for all you have done. Paws up forever." Gaga read the tweet and then tweeted that she had been spending the past few days reflecting, crying and yelling. She went on to say that she wanted to meet with the President and cause bullying, which she described as a hate crime, to become illegal. When I saw this video I gained so much more respect for Lady Gaga. I had always supported her music and knew that she was a great artist, but this proves that she cares for her fans so much. It sickens me that people think it's okay to bully someone just because they are different. It is wrong, unjust, and it makes you look weak and pathetic. No one should feel that they have enough power to force someone to take their own life. Bullies live a miserable existence. They are not satisfied with their own lives so they feel the need to pick apart someone else's life. This must stop.

This just makes me cry so much. I'm gay and I really don't want anyone to go through this. RIP Jamey. I never knew you, but I learned so much from you. Isn't it weird that things work out like that

He was only 14...who could do that to somebody. I heard the kids that did it may face criminal charges. I hope so.
