The Royal Wedding

Today was the big day! The Royal Wedding of Kate Middleton and Prince William. For some reason I was really excited for it, so I did watch most of it. Unfortunately, it was just so boring to me! I know that it was a big deal and I completely understand the importance of it, but it just seemed really drawn out to me. Of course, my opinion doesn't matter that much, especially considering the fact that it broke an online record. Over 1.6million online viewers tuned into the nuptials of the two, making it the biggest event to be watched online. This comes from a spokesperson for Akami, which provides streaming video for top sites such as msnbc and 300 more.

I couldn't do a post on The Royal Wedding if I didn't talk about Kate Middleton's dress, which everyone was so anxiously waiting to see. The dress was designed by Sarah Burton, who is the creative director of Britain's Alexander McQueen House. I personally think that the dress is very simple, however for the occasion it is perfect. It is a Royal Wedding, not a wedding to wear something extremely ridiculous. She looks stunning in the dress and I think it is a great tribute to the late Alexander McQueen.
