Justin Bieber on Today Show

Well It's almost time for Never Say Never 3D and you know what that means; Justin Bieber is going to be promoting non stop. He was just on an episode of Extreme Home Makeover and this morning he did an interview with Matt Lauer on The Today Show. In the interview Justin Bieber talks about how his voice is changing and how he plans on getting through that, along with discussing his upcoming film. I can't agree more with Matt Laure when he says "...this is a creation. This is a guy who was created by some slick PR people", because I honestly believe that Justin is a talented person but it was a great team of PR people that got him to where he is today. Of course, all of you will be seeing Never Say Never 3D when it is released on February 11, 2011, so let me know what you think of it.

Demi Leaves Rehab

Demi Lovato was spotted in Santa Monica enjoying the beautiful day and even posing for some paparazzi. I am so happy that she is back and enjoying herself. She even looks great! I really hope that things start to look up for her because she is so talented. Sources are saying that she is working hard to get back to her regular routine. I can't wait to see what the future holds for Demi Lovato. I wish her the best of luck with everything!

Moment 4 Life - Nicki Minaj ft Drake

It's here! In case you missed it check out the official video for "Moment 4 Life." There really isn't much to say except that I absolutely am completely and irrevocably in love with his video (and Nicki Minaj!). The video is amazing and left me speechless. Let me know what you think!

Chris Medina - Idol Auditions

Well, American Idol without Simon is on to its second week and I'm still watching, and by the looks of my Twitter feed so are you guys! I hope you guys saw Chris Medina's audition. He was definitely my favorite of the night and he had a really touching story to go along with his powerful voice. He sang "Breakeven" by The Script, but there really isn't much to say. Just watch the video above !

Jersey Shore Season 4

Even though season 3 is just getting started, sources close to MTV's hit show Jersey Shore are stating that there will in fact be a fourth season of the show and it may very well be in Italy! Apparently MTV crew members are currently in Italy trying to find the perfect location for the the fourth season. They've even reached out to Vinny's family in Italy and asked them to host a dinner for the cast when they arrive. Now, being completely honest this could be false information but it seems accurate, so it's up to you to decide what you believe. What do you think about the cast relocating to Italy?

Drake Returns to Acting

Do you remember the days when world wide rap star Drake was more commonly referred to as "Jimmy?" I know I do! Everyone knows that before his rap career, Drake was an actor and one of the lead cast members on the hit show Degrassi. Well, sources are saying that Drake will be returning to his roots, as he has scored an acting role in an upcoming thriller called Arbitrage. I doubt that he will have a lead role but I'm sure it will be some part of importance. Drake is a great rapper, but I also believe that he is a great actor and I think it will be interesting to see him on the big screen. By the way, I always thought it would be a good idea to do a cameo appearance on a new season of Degrassi.

Antione Dodson Reality Series

YouTube sensation, Antione Dodson, became famous over night when he appeared on a Huntsville, Alabama news program, in a story about his sister, who was almost raped. His over-the-top personality caused Auto-Tune-The-News, to work their magic and create the, what is now, hit song Bed Intruder. Most people, including myself, believed that his fifteen minuets of fame would be over now but it looks like we may have been wrong. Dodson is set to have a reality series coming out, that will focus on his rise to fame, and how he is using the money to help his family. On top of the reality series, he has a t-shirt line and is working on a record deal. Uh, where is my reality show!

Idol Auditions to Watch Out For

The first two episodes of the tenth season of American Idol are over and there has been some pretty great talent! Here are some of my favorite auditions. I know it's early but I definitely think we should watch out for these people. First, above we have Brett Loewenstem who blew me away with his rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody"
(I love Devyn Rush's soul and she has an amazing tone to her voice!)
(And of course there's my personal favorite Jordan Dorsey!)

American Idol Season 10

It's finally here! The show that everyone has been waiting for, American Idol, began its tenth season last night. Now, we all know that there has been so much talk about this season, considering it is the first season with out Simon Cowell and honestly, I don't think America is going to miss him! The talent is there, the viewers are there, and I actually really like the new judges! Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez add something to the show that, I feel, many people didn't believe they would. Of course, there is no replacing Simon and Paula, but we all need to look at the new panel of judges, not as a replacement, but simply as a new panel, and in that aspect they succeed! I'm currently watching the second episode and I'll definitely be posting my favorite auditions tomorrow! Let me know what you guys think of the tenth season so far.

Moment 4 Life Preview

Check out the preview for Nicki Minaj's hit song, featuring Drake, Moment 4 Life! I really love this song and it's one of my favorite songs from Nicki's debut album. From the looks of the preview, the video is going to be great and it looks like things will be getting pretty romantic for Nicki Minaj and Drake. Does anyone else think these two should just get married? I mean, if I can't marry Nicki Minaj I guess her second best choice would be Drake! Let me know what you guys think.

Shontelle Interview

Check out my interview with the beautiful and talented singer Shontelle! I loved the interview and I know you all will too. Thanks Shontelle!

1. Hey! How are you? First, can you please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about yourself?
"I'm a beach girl from Barbados who loves singing and writing songs. I love love and I love life. I left University where I was studying Law and Philosophy and moved to New York from Barbados in 2005 to pursue a career and life in music. It's the only thing I really never get tired doing. I hate to see others in pain or lacking for anything. I have a soft spot in my heart for animals, children and the elderly. But I'm no push over. My goons will tell you that! I go hard and I fight for what I believe in. I love fashion and glamour and I have the world's sickest shoe and accessory addiction. Oh yeah and my favorite color is Yellow! :)"
2. How long have you been singing, and when did you really decide to pursue music as a career?
"I've been singing all my life and always kinda took it seriously. I always knew I could make it as a singer and I always worked at perfecting my craft. While I was still in school in Barbados, I was actually juggling writing award winning songs for other artists as well as recording songs myself and also taking titles. I was still studying and I was becoming a house hold name at the same time. How I managed I'll never know. I was finally offered the opportunity of a lifetime by SRP Records in 2005. They heard some stuff I wrote and wanted me to do some work with Rihanna. That's how this all started. I jumped at the chance to do what I'm most passionate about and actually make a living doing it. I signed a production deal with SRP and very soon after, I signed a recording deal with Steve Rifkind and SRC Records. I'm now lucky and blessed to be one of the artists on Universal Motown's active roster. Before all that, I remember, I worked on a bunch of stuff on Rih's mixtape and we also did a colab called "The Hotness" on Save The Last Dance 2 Soundtrack as well as a really fun reggae remix of Unfaithful. I actually used to go out on some of her tour dates and perform it with her. I miss those days :("
3. Can you tell us a little bit about the process of getting signed, and how you felt once you finally achieved that goal?
"The process of getting signed is very intense. Very exciting yet very scary. It's the beginning of a new chapter in your life and you're now 1 step closer to realizing your biggest dreams. But you know that the odds are actually against you and the work NOW begins. You feel accomplished but now you have to show and prove... or in my case "Sho-N-Telle?" You now have to make thousands and hopefully millions of people believe in you the way that you do. You can't wait to start your life as a "signed recording artist" on a "major label". But it's hard to enjoy the fact that you have just accomplished something most people never will, because you are at the same time dealing with business, which is serious. It involves lots and lots of legal BS and you try not to think of all the artists who have been signed that you never heard of and that never released albums. You try not to think of one hit wonders and hope that the pile of random tossed cds and cracked cases scattered around offices and in trash bins, won't be yours. You are popping champagne, doing shots and eating fancy food and sipping wine now, so instead you try to imagine your first Grammy and a successful world tour and many hot selling albums. You try to imagine happy fans and children who's lives you have touched. You try to think of the smiles ans tears your songs will evoke... Getting signed was like a pure emotional rollercaoster... just as scary as it was enjoyable..."
4. Congratulations on your album "No Gravity"! I personally love your voice and all the songs. What is your favorite song on the album and why?
"Thank you! That means the world to me because I spent alot of time and care working on No Gravity and did alot of writing on it. It's hard to pick 1 fave because of this fact, but I feel a special connection with Impossible because it's my biggest single to date and my life has truly changed since its success. Performing it live is always very emotional because of the crowd response. Another personal fave is Say Hello To Goodbye (my next single) I wrote this song while I was recording in Sweden and I was very emotional at the time. It took me 2 days to record it after writing it because I simply couldn't get past the bridge without literally crying. It's very pure and honest and it's how I was feeling about my boyfriend (or whatever he was by then) at the time."
5. Who are your biggest influences in the music industry?
"I really feel like my musical style was influenced most by the music my parents listened to when I was growing up. They have great taste. The radio or stereo was always on and blasting Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Prince, Earth Wind and Fire, Seal, Diana Ross, Tina Turner and Whitney Houston. Lots of reggae too. Bob Marley was my favorite. They played alot of Motown music but also heavy Madonna, Elton John, Sting and the Police, Phil Collins and believe it or not Air Supply! But I listened to everything, lots of rock, metal and hip-hop later as a teen. At one point I became obsessed with Janet, Brit Birt, Xtina, Aaliyah, TLC, Destiny's Child and pretty much any boy band and emo pop rock band to emerge. That was the beginning of my fangirl phase LOL! Jay-Z is my favorite rapper and I won't stop until I record a song with my number one idol Alicia Keys! *DEATH* But I've gotten even stranger and now my favorite band in the world is System of A Down (followed closely by Green Day). Basically my iPod looks like it belongs to a schizo o.O"
6. Aside from music, are you currently working on any other projects?
"I love acting as well so I'm always looking at scripts and I've been called in for a few readings. I've also been doing quite alot of hosting and presenting lately. I really enjoy that as well. Maybe one day you'll see my on your tv or big screen! Fashion is my life and I have some great relationships with some big brands and we already have some plans lined up for 2011. Look out! The latest thing I've done outside my own project was working on Rih's new Loud album. Have you heard Man Down yet? That's me on the pen :) "
7. What's an interesting fact about yourself, that many people may not know?
"Many people don't know that I'm just as qualified and skilled at performing CPR ( yes I can save your life) as I am as a marksman ( I can shoot you clean between the eyes from a pretty far distance... yes I can take your life... not that I will... unless... kaaay I'll just stop here now... ) I'm also a great swimmer, I slay at lawn tennis and Mario Kart Wii and I'm pretty sick with two drum sticks!"
8. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
"Standing on top of the world! I wanna buy my mom a new house and her dream car so I have no choice right? :) 5 years from now I will have that Grammy and run an amazing world tour... only God knows what else I will accomplish. All I know is that I will always work as hard as it takes to see my empire grow... I wanna feed alot of tummies, provide access to knowledge and put shoes on a alot of naked feet... "
9. If you could collaborate with any artists right now, who would you choose and why?
"2 artists top my list. Alicia Keys is epic and I love everything about her as an artist and as a person. She is talented and beautiful in every way. It seems there is nothing she can't do. Truly a Superwoman. She's also such a wonderful person to be around and I love how philanthropic she is. She reflects mostly what I would want to be like in my life. Real music, real people. I really wanna colab with Rih again as well. SO many people think we have beef and that's just crazy. I wanna release a great empowering, fun song with us both that would just squash all that and make everyone at home in Barbados proud to see their girls representing our tiny little island ( as we call affectionately call Barbados, Bim Rock) together. Accomplishing the "Impossible" ..."
10. Again, I want to thank you for taking the time to do the interview. I love your music and I can't wait to hear more! What is the best way for fans to keep in touch with you, and do you have any last thoughts or comments?
"Thank you for wanting to know more about me and it was my pleasure! All my fans hit upwww.shontelleonline.com. That's my official fansite and I love posting stuff there and checking it to see how my fans are feeling everyday. My official Universal website is www.shontellemusic.com. Also Stay in touch with me on Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter! I'm on all the time!"

Romans Revenge 2.0

Lil Wayne wasn't able to record a collaboration with his protege Nicki Minaj for her debut album Pink Friday due to his incarceration but you know what they say; better late than never! Lil Wayne recorded a verse on what is now titled Roman's Revenge 2.0. The song is best known as Nicki Minaj's diss track towards Lil Kim but now there is tons of talk and speculation as to whether Lil Wayne's verse disses Jay Z! This, after many people are saying that Jay Z dissed Lil Wayne and Birdman on H.A.M. There has always been some debate about whether or not there is tension present between Jay Z and Lil Wayne & Birdman. Looking back at old interviews Birdman would throw digs at Jay Z saying that Lil Wayne was more lyrical and made more money, which caused Jay Z to respond by saying something along the lines of "I can give him a glimpse of my bank account if he's that confident." I'm not sure what to think about all of this so I'll leave it up to you guys to decide for yourselves. What do you believe is going on between Jay Z, Birdman, and Lil Wayne?

Golden Globe Awards 2011

The Golden Globe Awards just finished airing and overall I must say that I agreed with a lot of their decisions. Congratulations to everyone who won, especially Natalie Portman who won for best performance by an actress (Black Swan), Chris Colfer who won for best supporting actor in a series (Glee), and of course Toy Story 3 which won best animated feature film. There was also a very nice tribute for Robert De Niro, who won the Cecil B. DeMille award. Despite all these great wins it was The Social Network that stole the show tonight winning 4 Golden Globes(including best motion picture) and generating tons of buzz on my Twitter feed. I'll be completely honest; I have yet to see The Social Network but I plan on watching it sometime soon. Congratulations to the whole crew that worked on the film.

As far as fashion goes, I've decided to do a quick "best dressed" and "worst dressed." I definitely believe that Eva Longoria is deserving of the title "best dressed." Everyone knows she's gorgeous but tonight she looked stunning! As far as "worst dressed" goes, Angelina Jolie earns herself that title by wearing my front lawn! I'm sorry, but that color is just hideous. Also, shout out to Justin Bieber who wore sneakers. I guess he didn't get the memo that it was a formal event! Again, congratulations to all the nominees and winners; you all deserved it!

Charice Will Be Back on Glee

Do you remember a while ago when Charice Pempengco appeared on Glee as Sunshine Corazon? Yea, neither do I. Apparently, the international star will be returning to the hit series but this time she'll be staying for a few episodes. In a recent interview she stated; "I'm going to be back on Glee. I'll have 5 to 7 more episodes. I think it's a great idea. We all know that Charice is an amazing singer and hopefully Glee will give her even more exposure and make her a bigger star in the States.

"All About Aubrey"

Former Danity Kane member Aubrey O'Day recently revealed that she will have her own reality TV series beginning in March, on Oxygen. The series will be titled All About Aubrey and she stated that she'll be just as loud and outspoken as she was on Making the Band. I'm sure we can also expect to see Aubrey in the studio as she records new music. She recently teamed up with another member from Danity Kane, Aundrea Fimbres, for the song Ego Trippin'. Will you be watching?

Clap Clap - Lil Kim and IRS

Lil Kim recently released a track titled Clap Clap, which features herself and IRS. There have been rumors stating that this is her first new single, but after doing some research I'm pretty sure that this is just for the IRS mix tape, and will not be her comeback single. Overall it's a decent song, but I definitely hope it's not one of her official singles because I don't think it's that impressive. She also did a 6 foot 7 foot remix with IRS as well so make sure you look that up if you want to hear it!

Sorry Bieber...No Glee !

Recently I've been hearing tons of talk regrading a Glee tribute episode for teen heartthrob Justin Bieber, but as it turns out these were nothing more than rumors. Ryan Murphy, the co-creator of Glee, stated in a recent interview that; "Those tributes are reserved for artists with big catalogs ala Madonna and Britney, etc." Ouch! I guess Justin Bieber isn't worthy of a tribute yet. Murphy did go on to say that one of Bieber's songs will be featured in an episode, but it is not a tribute. He also informed readers that they will be featuring Lady Gaga's new hit Born This Way. Sorry Justin, at least your nail polish line is doing excellent! I hear it's sold out in 3,000 Wal-Marts.

Omarion Speaks On "Bisexual" Press Release

Today my twitter feed was overflowed with tweets regarding a supposed press release from singer Omarion, in which he stated that he was bisexual. However, after waiting a few hours, it turns out that this was nothing more than a rumor. Omarion took to his Twitter account stating;"Check it out I did not release that statement, whatever you like is your business but I ain't gay or bisexual, I love women period!!!!!!!". He also went on a radio show to further confirm that these accusations were nothing more than rumors. Hopefully that clears everything up for you guys! Again, be careful with what you read, and even more careful about what you believe from these tabloids!

Fly - Nicki Minaj Ft. Rihanna

I can't express how excited I am about this! Nicki Minaj and Rihanna are scheduled to shoot a video for their hit song Fly! I cannot wait to see the video, as Fly is one of my favorite songs on the Pink Friday album. The video will be directed by Sanaa Hamri, who also directed video for the likes of Mariah Carey, B.o.B, and even the legendary Prince! I'm sure the video will be incredible. I really like Rihanna and Nicki as a team and I think both of these artists are doing big things. I'll keep you posted!

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal Break Up!

No! Celebrity couple Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal are no longer together. I just reported a little bit ago that I really thought they were a good couple but apparently things just didn't work out. Sources are saying that Jake wanted to keep everything away from the public, but of course when you're dating Taylor Swift it isn't exactly easy to do so. Sources are also stating that Jake could feel the age difference. Apparently Taylor Swift is upset about the whole situation. I hope the two of them can either work things out or stay friends. I guess we know who Taylor Swift's next hit song is going to be about!

Selena Gomez Receives Death Threats !

Recently, teen pop stars Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been photographed together on many occasions. Most recently the two were seen together vacationing in St. Lucia. It's safe to say that they are dating. Unfortunately for Selena, Bieber's fans are not too happy about the situation and they've been sending her death threats! One of the tweets read; "@SelenaGomez don't touch @JustinBieber you are a b***h i kill you selena stupid stud you always whit famous boys you are very very b***h". Well...I guess that would be a death threat. I can't really tell considering the terrible sentence structure, multiple misspellings, and horrendous grammar. Are you guys serious? Just leave them alone.

Willow Smith New Year's Eve Performance

Please tell me I'm not the only one who thought that Willow Smith's performance of Whip My Hair last night was great! Willow Smith is only 10 years old! That makes her the youngest perform to ever perform on the New Year's Eve special and for her age I thought she did an amazing job. Not only did she mix up the song and prove that she really does have talent, but the dancers and everything else just came together for an overall good performance. Willow Smith will definitely become a star if she continues to sing and take everything seriously. I would love to do an interview with Willow Smith! I'll have to work on setting that up.

YouTube Artist of the Month

It's the first day of the New Year but it's also the first day of January, which means it's time for a new YouTube Artist of the Month. This month I came across Kait Weston singing a cover of Katy Perry's Firework and immediately fell in love with her voice! She has a beautiful tone and such a powerful, yet sweet, voice. I watched her other covers and realized that she was definitely one of my favorite YouTube Artists and that she would be featured on the site this month. I did a short Q&A with her. Check that out below! Congratulations to Kait. Keep up the great work, I know we'll be hearing so much more from her in the future.

1: Can you please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about yourself?
"My name is Kait Weston. I am currently an advertising photography major at RIT. Any chance I get to come home to record and make youtube videos I take because I absolutely love making these videos!"
2:When did you realize you had a talent for singing and what made you want to pursue that?
"I started singing in about 8th grade but I wasn't very good. I started taking voice lessons when I was about 16 with my voice teacher Jessica who worked some miracles on me. She was one of the many who helped me with my confidence. My voice teacher told me I had to audition for a solo in my high school chorus. I was very nervous to do this but I did it. After the nerve racking audition and shaking uncontrollably, I ended up getting the solo. After performing for the first time on stage and in front of my high school peers I knew this is what I wanted to do!"
3. Who are some artists you would like to work with in the future and who do you look up to in the industry?
"BRUNO MARS! I love him so much!! Christina Aguilera is another one who I have loved forever. She is truly on of the most talented singers!"
4. Where do you see yourself five years from now?
"Five years from now I hope to see myself still doing music. I am 1 of thousands with the same dream! This music industry is very difficult to break into, and there will be more "no's" then yeses, but what will never stop me!"

I loved reading her responses, especially when she said "...there will be more no's than yeses..." I cannot stress how important it is to realize that you will hear no in many aspects of life, but as Kait said, don't ever let that stop you! Great words Kait!
