R.I.P. Dick Clark

Today is a sad day in the entertainment industry. Dick Clark, the man who changed the music and television industry, has passed away at the age of 82 from a severe heart attack. At first I thought this was just another Twitter rumor, but unfortunately I must confirm that it is true.

From American Bandstand to Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, Dick Clark has been one of the most famous and influential producers and hosts that the world has ever seen. The awards that Clark received throughout his life, which include Emmy's, Grammy's, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and many more, will surely allow for his legacy to live on forever. It is estimated that Dick Clark Productions has been responsible for over 7,500 hours of TV.

Dick Clark would always salute his viewers, and today I, along with his millions of fans, salute back. Thank you for everything you have done for the industry. R.I.P.
