Khloe and Lamar Cancel Their Show

The Kardashian's may have just renewed their TV time on E! for another three years, but that doesn't mean that the whole family is interested in having cameras follow them around for much longer. Khloe and Lamar have decided to cancel their show to allow Lamar to focus on his career, and also so that the two can have a much needed and long delayed honeymoon.

While Khloe and Lamar will not return as a series, Khloe Kardashian Odom will not be going anywhere anytime soon. She'll be appearing on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and there are talks that she, and one of her sisters, will be getting their own spin-off series. It sounds like Lamar is the one who doesn't want to be a reality star anymore. What do you think?

Nicki Minaj - Starships Music Video

Nicki Minaj may have just rejoined Twitter a few days ago, but the superstar wasted no time in tweeting the link to her brand new music video for her single Starships. While the song has a pop feel to it, I actually really enjoy the song. I'm usually not into Nicki's pop music, but Starships is certainly catchy and I find myself humming or singing the chorus throughout the day.

The video is different. I'm not sure if I get the inspiration behind it, but it does what it needs to do for a fun pop song. What do you think of Nicki's latest video?

Jessica Sanchez Honors Her Father

American Idol contestant Jessica Sanchez sang an emotional tribute to her father, who will be deployed to Singapore shortly. Jess belted out a flawless rendition of Luther Vandross' Dance With My Father, which prompted Jennifer Lopez to even say it was her favorite version of the classic. The judges all agreed that Jessica's performance was amazing and that the emotion behind the song was perfect. I'm not even going to lie, I got chills from her performance. There was however, one problem... The judges did not give her a standing ovation!

How can you say that was the best rendition of a song, yet not stand up for the girl. Jessica Sanchez is the most talented singer in the competition. Week after week she slays every song she sings, but week after week the judges refuse to stand for her. Joshua Ledet on the other hand has received 12 standing O's. Joshua is a great singer, but he is clearly the judges favorite and it's becoming annoying.

Anyway, I really hope you all voted for Jess. She deserves to win this whole competition. Regardless of what happens tonight, we've definitely watched a star step into the spotlight. Best of luck Jess!

The Kardashians Are Here to Stay

The Kardashians are currently laughing in the faces of everyone who predicted that their fame was quickly coming to an end. The superstar family just signed on with E! for another three years! This guarantees that the show will be going nowhere anytime soon, and at the end of the three years, it can be renewed again.

Keeping Up With The Kardashians and all of the spin-offs make for one of the most watched reality series on TV. Five out of the 10 most watched shows on E! all involved the Kardashians also. It definitely seems like they are here to stay. My prediction is that once these three years are up, Kendall and Kylie will take over with their on series.

Be sure to tune into the seventh season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians when it airs on E! on May 20th! Whether you love or hate the family, you have to admit, they're all that anyone can talk about!

Aubrey O'Day - Wrecking Ball

Former member of Danity Kane, and now reality star on The Apprentice, Aubrey O'Day has released her newest song which is titled, Wrecking Ball. The song was penned by former American Idol contestant Pia Toscano. Aubrey has released music in the past as a solo artist, but nothing that ever really stood out to me. This, on the other hand, is actually something worth listening to. Her voice sounds great and it shows off her vocals so much more than her usual club music.

I would love to see Aubrey come out with an album sometime soon. I think if she works with the right people, and puts her time into making good music, she can definitely be a star. She has the voice, looks, and personality. Now, all she has to do is put in the work. Let me know what you think of Wrecking Ball.

Giuliana and Bill Rancic Expecting a Child

Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill Rancic are expecting their first child! Giuliana is the celebrity news personality and anchorwoman on E! News and her husband won the first season of Trump's The Apprentice. The two also star in their own reality show Giuliana and Bill which airs on E!

I've just recently gotten into their show and it's actually pretty good. I like them together as a couple and their relationship seems very genuine. Giuliana has been battling breast cancer and the two have had difficulties conceiving a child in the past. They've faced miscarriages and other complications, but they are now able to have a child through a gestational surrogate. Simply put, this means that the baby will be 100% Rancic. I'm so happy for them, and wishing them the best.

Meet The Artists - Midnight Youth

Check out my interview with the New Zealand rock band, Midnight Youth! With their debut album going platinum, and their sophomore album hitting the charts as well, this band is definitely here to stay! Check out  what went down below, and be sure to follow them on Twitter @MidnightYouth.

Hey guys! Thanks for taking the time to speak with Jay Swag Entertainment News. First, can you please introduce yourselves and tell us a little background?
“No worries at all! We're Midnight Youth, a rock band from the far corner of the world - New Zealand. We've recorded two albums so far together and had some success with them down under, so now we're off the island and taking our songs all over the world.”

What made you want to pursue music and when did you form your band?
“I think we're all in to making music out of wonder of the power it can have and seeing songs you write wield that. The band formed in 2006, though most of the guys had met and played together during high school a couple of years before then.”

I've listened to a few of your songs and you guys are really great! What was your favorite song to record and why? Your favorite to perform?
Thank you! One of the most enjoyable songs to record was Won't Stop, from the album World Comes Calling, where we were all involved in the process at the same time - there's a whole bunch of percussion where we grabbed whatever we could find lying around the studio and banged it together, as well as gang vocals where we had not just the band but everyone working on the record singing together. Live, my favourite track to perform has got to be Benjamin, from The Brave Don't Run album, the energy and story it conveys is perfect in a rock show.”

You'll be making an appearance at MUSEXPO L.A. Tell us a little bit about how that came about, and what your expectations are?
This will be our second time playing MUSEXPO - we had a great time and made some great contacts the first time around, so we're looking forward to playing again and hopefully using it to get an excuse to stay in the US longer.”

Where do you see yourselves in the next few years?
“Our goal has always been to be an international touring band - so we'll be playing as many shows in as many countries as we can.”

I'm sure by now you've seen the hologram performance of Tupac at Coachella. Which artist that has passed would you like to see perform as a hologram?
“To be honest I wasn't particularly impressed with the novelty of the hologram - I'd rather watch a movie of my favourite dead act and get a more real experience from that.”

What's an interesting fact about you that many people may not know?
We've been living together as a band for the past two years and still haven't broken up!”

If you could tour with anyone who would you pick and why?
“To tour with a re-formed Oasis would be the dream I reckon.”

Idol Says Goodbye to Colton Dixon

I literally just got finished watching the American Idol results show and I promised I would blog about it, so here we go!

Before I get into the bottom three, can I just say that I cannot stand LMFAO. I don't like their performances, I don't find them entertaining, and I can't even take them seriously. Go ahead, bash me on my own blog; I don't even care. I just don't think that they are real artists. Anyway, lets continue.

The bottom three was Colton, Elise, and Hollie. Personally I don't think that Hollie deserved to be in the bottom last night. Yes, she's been having a rough few weeks, but I was impressed with both of her performances and I thought she really stepped her game up. I would have rather seen Phillip in the bottom. He is becoming boring to me. He's a great artist, don't get me wrong, but he just doesn't have what it takes to be the American Idol. At least not to me.

When I found out that Colton and Hollie were the bottom two I immediately thought that Hollie was going to be sent home. I mean that's how these shows work. The young guys always get the teenage girl vote, and they end up winning the show. When I heard that Colton was getting sent him I was actually shocked. Not only did he have the teenage girl vote, but he was one of the strongest singers in the competition. I'm not a fan of the type of music he sings, but his voice was great.

Make sure you watch next week and please vote for Jessica Sanchez! She needs to win it all!

R.I.P. Dick Clark

Today is a sad day in the entertainment industry. Dick Clark, the man who changed the music and television industry, has passed away at the age of 82 from a severe heart attack. At first I thought this was just another Twitter rumor, but unfortunately I must confirm that it is true.

From American Bandstand to Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, Dick Clark has been one of the most famous and influential producers and hosts that the world has ever seen. The awards that Clark received throughout his life, which include Emmy's, Grammy's, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and many more, will surely allow for his legacy to live on forever. It is estimated that Dick Clark Productions has been responsible for over 7,500 hours of TV.

Dick Clark would always salute his viewers, and today I, along with his millions of fans, salute back. Thank you for everything you have done for the industry. R.I.P.

Rita Ora - How We Do (Party) Music Video

I just mentioned Rita Ora on Jay Swag a few days ago, and it seems like that was a great time to introduce her to my readers. The Roc Nation artist just released her official video for How We Do (Party) and she definitely is in party mood. The video is full of energy and Rita Ora looks gorgeous. I know a lot of people compare her to Rihanna, which isn't a bad thing, but I think this video shows off her originality as a recording artist. The song is pretty catchy as well, which is definitely a plus. I'm still working on getting an interview with Ora, but for not, enjoy the video and let me know what you think!

Nicki Minaj Deletes Twitter

*sigh* -_- Why? Nicki Minaj recently deleted her Twitter account after discovering that her music had been leaked by a specific website, which is now shut down. In her last tweet to the public Nicki said, "Like seriously, it's but so much a person can take. Good f**king bye."

Now, I'm a huge Nicki fan. I have been for the longest. I mean, I've been listening to her music long before she went mainstream. That being said, I try to keep it real here on Jay Swag and that's exactly what I'm going to do. Deleting her Twitter and freaking out on her fans is completely uncalled for and I believe will cause problems for Nicki in the future. All of this took place only days after Nicki found out that her fans got her album to number one. You would think she would appreciate it. I don't know, but to me this is not acceptable and Nicki needs to regroup, come back to Twitter, and release an apology statement. What do you think of Minaj's departure?

Rita Ora Singing Say My Name

Roc Nation artist Rita Ora recently covered Destiny's Child's Say My Name at an after party in New York. I'm not too familiar with Rita Ora's music. I mean, I'm aware of her existence and I think she has a decent voice, but I actually thoroughly enjoyed this performance.

What's even more impressive is the fact that she sang this song with not only Jay-Z in the audience, but Beyonce! I personally believe she did this classic justice and I'm definitely interested in seeing where her career goes. I would totally love to interview her. I think I'll have to contact her team and see if we can set something up pretty soon. Anyway, let me know what you think!

Q&A Time

So I've gotten a few comments asking me to do another Q&A video. I haven't done one in a while so I can definitely do that for you guys! If you've seen me do one before than you know how it works, but for all my new readers all you have to do is comment on this post with your question and I may or may not answer it in the video blog next week. The only catch is you must post the comment anonymously. That way no one can say I skipped their question for personal reasons. Okay guys. Ask away!

Jessica Sanchez - Stuttering

It's Thursday, which means last night was my favorite day of the week; American Idol night! Obviously I love the show and that is clearly evident through the massive amount of Tweets I send out each Wednesday. First, I just want to thank all of you for tweeting along with me. I love getting your responses and seeing you guys favorite or RT my tweets. It makes it worth it!

Anyway, let's talk about my favorite contestant, Jessica Sanchez. Last night she sang Stuttering by Jazmine Sullivan. While I wasn't familiar with this particular song, I know that Jazmine Sullivan is an incredible singer. Seriously, she's so underrated. I featured her on Jay Swag a while ago and predicted she would blow up. I'm not sure why she hasn't, but her voice is unreal, but back to Jess. There is really something special about that girl. Not only is her voice one of the best on the show, but her stage presence is great. She sings with so much experience and she's only 16. I love every one of her performances and this week was no different. I just hope next week she blows us away with a huge song. We know she can sing anything, but like the judges said she needs to "take us on a ride," and show us what her voice is capable of doing! No complains about her performance last night though. I loved it and I already bought it from iTunes!

Juliet Simms - Roxanne

I had to blog about Juliet Simms' performance of Roxanne on The Voice last night! I've been pretty impressed with the talent level this season, and Juliet Simms is one of my favorite performers on the show. Her voice is so unique and you can feel every note she sings. I actually got the chance to meet and interview her a while back and she was super nice. Check out our interview below!

Lamar Odom Severs Ties With Dallas

It was only a few months ago that Lamar Odom was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, causing himself and Khloe to pack up and move to Texas. Today, Odom announced that he will no longer be playing for the Mavs. Lamar released this statement: "The Mavericks and I have mutually agreed that it's in the best interest of both parties for me to step away from the team...I'm sorry things didn't work out better for both of us, but I wish the Mavs organization, my teammates, and Dallas fans nothing but continued success in the defense of their championship."

According to sources, the deal is effective immediately, but Lamar will not formally be released until the end of the season. He will, until then, be listed as inactive, and at the end of the year he will then be traded to another team. I'm wishing him and Khloe the best of luck in the future!

Beez In The Trap Video

Nicki Minaj just released the official video for Beez In The Trap and I actually really like it. Compared to her last music videos, this one is more hip-hop and a lot less pop. I like the direction that the director went with and I think Nicki looks great! I like her outfits, I like her hair, and I like that nothing is too crazy, as opposed to the Stupid Hoe video. For me, this is one of my favorite songs off the album, and the video actually makes me like it even more. I really want Nicki to stay on this path. I'm afraid she's going to turn into Kes$ha soon, and that is something that I don't want to see happen. Let me know what you think of the video in the comments below!

Jessia & Joshua's Duet

I'm a little late with this, but I just had to share this performance with you! Jessica and Joshua sang an amazing rendition of I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me) last night. The two of them are definitely my favorite singers in the competition, and their powerhouse vocals outshines the rest of the contestants. I would love to see these two in the finale. Of course, I can't write about American Idol without mention Skylar, who also delivered a stellar performance! It should be interesting to see who goes home tonight. I predict that whoever it is, the judges will use their save!

Adele Will Release New Music This Year !

I cannot tell you how happy I am to hear this! A little while back I had posted that Adele would not be releasing any new music for a few years because she said that she wanted to take a break. Well, that may not necessarily be the case! The singer spoke to NRJ Radio and said that fans can expect some new music, hopefully, by the end of the year. She said, "There was a good two years between my first and second albums, so it'll be the same this time." She goes onto say that the reason it takes so long is because she personally pens every song on her album.

I'm definitely willing to wait until the end of the year for new Adele. I think she is one of the most talented singers of my time and I love every single one of her songs. I'll be keeping you all posted with up-to date information, as soon as I learn more regarding her new songs/album.

Diggy Releases J. Cole Diss

Diggy's debut album Unexpected Arrival has been doing relatively well, but he didn't want to stop there. Only a few days after it's launch, Diggy has released a freestyle titled What You Say To Me, which is a diss track to rapper, J. Cole. In the song Diggy says;

"The other day I was listening to 'Purple Rain,' couldn't believe all of the things that I heard em say. Who dat, who dat, you know who it is, heard you lying on my sis, telling people that you hit. When your album drops I'ma hit you with your bricks, so I'ma bomb first on you since you wanna riff...little ni**a named Cole think he live like me, jetsetter trendsetter, you you not like me."

Diggy is responding to Cole's song Purple Rain, Where J. Cole clearly dissed Diggy's sister, Vanessa. In the song J. Cole says, "What up Vanessa, I loved you that one semester. Good girl huh, father was a preacher. Sent her off to college thought I got her on a leash though. From the outside though, them girls be the squeakiest. You get 'em inside them girls can be the freakiest, mischievous , downright devious..." He goes on to say more, but it is very clear that he is talking about Vanessa Simmons. The two attending college together, and although he alludes to a relationship, The Simmons family has stated that is just not true.

Rev Run responded on Twitter with a short simple message; "J. Cole put out 2 records dissing family & Diggy and nobody cared. Someone leaks a old Diggy record and there's a problem.." Vanessa also responded on Twitter stating that her brothers are very protective of her and the rest of their family. Honestly, this whole thing is a mess. I find diss tracks to be so boring and unnecessary. Instead of wasting your breath rapping about one another, why don't you just make hit music and outsell each other? Making money; now that's a worthwhile competition.

KCA's 2012 Fashion

So many stars were at the KCA's, I feel old for not knowing who 50% of the people are the KCA's were. I only mention 5 looks here, but wow. The KCAs are so easy to dress for pretty much everyone looked fun and ready for a great night!

For starters, OMG, SELENA GOMEZ is fab! She always manages to look so adorable and on trend. I loved this.

Kristen Stewart SURPRISED me with her cobalt blue ensemble. I think this is one of the best looks she has ever had.

I just can never get in to Katy Perry at any award show. This was no exception. I didn't like anything about her performance.

Thumbs up to Ashley Tisdale for looking fab as well. Is she working on anything new?

And apparently these 5 guys are the absolute best thing right now. Is not not cool to like the wanted AND One Direction? Is this like NSYNC VS BSB part 2? Either way NSYNC will always be the best boy band of all time.
