H&M Uses Computerized Models?

This is really weird. Clothing giant H&M has recently come clean about their recent swimsuit and lingerie ads, stating that the bodies of the models are all computer generated. H&M released a statement stating that the clothes are shot on a mannequin and then edited with a computer program to appear as though they are being photographed on an actual model. If you ask me this is disgusting. It makes it seem as though a real body isn't good enough for their clothes. Everyone is flawed in one way or another, and by not using a real body it could make others feel as though they aren't as pretty, or good-looking as these models. So many people suffer from image issues to begin with and it's brands like this that cause these issues amongst today's young generation. H&M needs to start using real models, or just leaving the clothes on mannequins, anything else is completely unacceptable.

Its not that serious only a person with self esteem issues would take offense in the fact they take pics on a model and not a real person. SMH

to the person above me...maybe you need to open your eyes and look at the REAL world..people hurt themselves everyday because they can't be "perfect." & that's what these bodies are..perfect. they are MADE UP..they are FAKE. people cant accept that they are beautiful because the media is portraying "beautiful" as something that is literally computer generated. I don't mean to be rude but please learn something before you comment. A friend of mine used to hurt herself all the time because she was made fun of and not perfect like this. You just come off as ignorant.

As an aspiring model...this is sick. I work hard to have a good body and to look nice...but they replace me with computers. What's the point of wanting to model anymore.
