An Important Message

I am sure you have all heard the tragic story of Tyler Clementi. The two students who tormented Clementi so much, that he took his own life are being charged now, but in the end that is not enough. I have been blessed to have this success so far and to reach about 60k readers a month, but what good is it if I cannot help spread a positive message. I urge all of you to stop bullying one another. Maybe you don't agree with someones personal choice or maybe you don't understand it, but ignorance is no excuse to cause someone to take their own life, and making fun of someone because they are different than you shows that you are weak. If you are being bullied please talk to someone; a counselor, a parent, a friend, or even a teacher. After reading how many deaths there have been due to this epidemic I am appalled. As Ellen said "One life lost in this senseless way is tragic..four lives lost is tragic."If I am able to stick up for those who are different than me, why can't you? I ask everyone reading this article to post it on their facebook, twitter, or even re-blog it if you are a fellow blogger. Something must be done, and the time to do so is now.

My heart goes out to all the kids and teens who have lost their lives in this way. This is a real tragedy and It's great that people who have an influence over the media, like yourself, are taking that and using it for a popular message.
